Additional Bodum 5678-57USA C-Mill Blade Grinder, Stainless Steel Information

The graceful, curving design of this Bodum Coffee Grinder makes it as attractive as it is functional. The reservoir is extra deep, so it holds more coffee beans than other grinders. Fill the reservoir, hold the red grind button and watch the grinder work its magic through the clear top. Curved spout makes it easy to pour the freshly ground beans into your coffeemaker. Hand wash lid in warm water; wipe bowl with clean dry towel.

What Customers Say About Bodum 5678-57USA C-Mill Blade Grinder, Stainless Steel:

Doesn't grind well. I am going to replace this with a Krups which I've owned in the past and always worked well. It works, but barely. Has an unusually short cord that requires unplugging to empty every time.

It also seems a tad bit quieter than other grinders that I've used. Shorter grind times give coarser grinds for the french press, long grind time for a fine grind for the espresso machine. I purchased this grinder when I moved back to the US, as my old version was 220V, and wouldn't work here. We are heavy coffee drinkers, and this grinder just works great for us. The best feature of this grinder, is it's small space saving design.

The only negative thing about this grinder is its poor attempt at cable management. Once the cable is wrap onto the spool you can, in theory, push the spool back into the bottom of the unit.

I think most would be unsatisfied with this grinder in hopes of making espresso. You have to be very careful about how you wrap the cord so the spool can be pushed back in.

This spool mechanism is very flimsy and works about half the time. This grinder is great for french press, drip coffee makers and my favorite the AeroPress.

I agree with many of the reviewers here, this grinder does a nice job and is quieter than most grinders of this type that I have used. The bottom of this grinder extends so you can wrap the cord on an internal spool.

Otherwise the grinder will sit a bit caddywompus as the spool mechanism creates an uneven base.

This model, while similar in looks, is lightweight and poorly constructed - with the motor breaking after just a few months. I used to have the now discontinued aluminum Bodum grinder; a beautifully designed, well-built and sturdy product that withstood several years of daily use. I suggest avoiding it.

Problems :* does not grind coffee very fine and leaves many whole beans* very limited volume for beans* top is not secure, and can fall off easily (mostly an issue for when taking it in and out of the cabinet)* broke after 4 months of 'weekend-only' use (the blade just fell off)
